FREE UPSKILLING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE IN EMPLOYMENT

Skills to Adance is a scheme designed to support those in employment to upskills and improve their employment opportunities.

What programmes can I access: What can I study on Skills to Advance?: Athy FETC offers a broad range of QQI modules including in areas us as Healthcare, Applied Social Studies, Business Administration, Career Support, Early Learning and Care.

Skills to Advance is free to people:

Skills to Advance is a national initiative that provides upskilling and reskilling opportunities to employees in jobs undergoing change and to those currently employed in vulnerable sectors.

Who is eligible: Those who are employed in all parts of the workforce whose skill level is below level 5 on the national framework of qualifications.

How does it work: Such employees can access upskilling opportunities at level 5 or below free-of-charge across relevant further education and training provisions.
